Economics' broad applications extend to an examination of problems and issues in a variety of areas. It complements the study of professional programs such as Business Administration, Accounting, and Finance by providing you with a strong liberal arts foundation upon which these programs are built. It also provides key insights into areas such as health care policy, the environment, international trade, and globalization.
Our curriculum in Economics emphasizes the development of foundational knowledge in micro and macroeconomics, as well as quantitative analysis, and statistics. Specialized courses focus on the application of this knowledge to a range of topics while developing and sharpening skills in the process of conducting research and oral presentation.
The study of Economics not only provides you with a strong foundation for understanding the world through microeconomics, macroeconomics, and data analysis, but also supports its students with skills valued by employers. Studying Economics is a means of entry to banking, business, management consulting, government, or law.
